Sanrakshan specialises in the architectural conservation and management of heritage sites. We are a team of heritage professionals dedicated towards safeguarding heritage. We offer best possible recommendations on restoration and management of historic sites based on our experience & comprehensive research.
Sanrakshan is non-sectarian and will respond to requests from Government, Institutions and NGOs Irrespective of State, Religion or Culture. We were operational since year 2000 and as our organization grew, on 15th January 2009, we incorporated our firm as a Private Limited Company. With over 100 projects to our credit, we are presently providing consultancy services nationally and internationally to different government and non-government agencies.

Ar. Pandit is a trained Conservation Architect with master’s degree in architecture with specialisation in Architectural Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and further undergone a conservation course at IUAV, Italy. He is actively working in the field of Heritage nationally and internationally since past 28 years.
Ar. Pandit was a principal consultant to government of Mauritius for preparation of World Heritage Site Nomination & Management Plan for Aaparavasi Ghat site (inscribed in 2006) and conserving & developing several other heritage sites related to indenture labour system in the country. He also provided his services in writing of the nomination of Bhojpuri Folk Songs of Mauritius, “Geet Gawai,” to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. He has evaluated several World Heritage Properties for ICOMOS and has received the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation twice.
As consultant to UNESCO, New Delhi Ar. Pandit developed World Heritage Site Serial nominations for Coral Stone Mosques of the Maldives. He was also co-Author of World Heritage Site Serial Nomination for Hill Forts of Rajasthan and authored Site Management Plan for Jaisalmer Fort (inscribed in 2013) commissioned by National Culture Fund in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India. 13).

Priyajit Pandit

Priyajit Pandit has 24 years of professional experience in designing landscape specially with historic and uban context. She is also a key team member for preparation of DPRs, Site Management Plans, and Integrated Tourism Development plans for Sanrakshan. She is a landscape Architect graduated from School of planning and Architecture with several technical research papers and publications to her credit.

Waseem Farooq

Senior Architect [B.Arch, M.Arch]
Waseem Farooq has 12 years of professional experience in designing plans, preparing DPRs, site supervision, and tender documentation of heritage sites and monuments. He is an architect from Integral University, Lucknow, where he also completed his master’s in architecture. His expertise spans various aspects of architectural project management.

Niranjan Yadav

Niranjan Yadav is a graduate from the Savitribai Phule Pune University, graduating in 2022. With a creative approach to heritage and culture, he is developing expertise in designing plans, preparing DPRs, site supervision, and tender documentation for heritage sites and monuments, bringing a balanced approach to tradition and modern design.

Sharmila

Sharmila is an architect with a Bachelor’s degree from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (2020), and a Diploma in Architecture from INTACH Heritage Academy (2021). She brings expertise in preserving architectural integrity, combining thoughtful design with cultural sensitivity to enhance the preservation of historic sites and monuments.

Ajay Pawar

Architect [B.Arch]
Ajay Pawar is an architect and a 2023 graduate of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He is proficient in Modi, an ancient Maharashtra script, and has knowledge of Brahmi, a historical Indian script. Ajay has experience in designing plans, preparing DPRs, site supervision, and tender documentation for heritage sites and monuments. He has also published research on heritage conservation and participated serval seminars on the subject.

Gurleen kaur

Architect [B.Arch]
Gurleen Kaur, a graduate from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, is passionate about traditional architecture and heritage conservation. Her research on Ladakh’s architecture has enriched her interest in these fields. She brings fresh perspectives and creativity to her project reports, emphasizing sustainable design and conservation practices.
